I reviewed this knife as though I were still a soldier and this was the knife I would carry on a tour of duty. I wish I had this knife back then. The weight is acceptable for something you add to the load you must carry along with water, ammo, rations, and weapons. It is very comfortable to hold and use and I really like the fact that the steel projects out of the back so the knife can be used as a hammer.
