I purchased this lathe on Amazon for $497.00 no tax and free shipping. I needed a small lathe to do just one job.... turning some Delrin rod down to 32mm.The Lathe arrived boxed in a thin wooden crate 10 days later via UPS. The crate was damaged, it had been dropped and had a huge hole underneath, My wife signed for it and never noticed the damage, so I unpacked it and found the lathe was remarkably undamaged apart from a broken cord that I repaired.I had looked at the Harbor freight lathes and they looked "cheap" this one looked a little better but not much.
